Prizes won: 

Cody's poem in English with Spanish translation, together with its complete historical archives, was inducted into the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution, USA. The National League of American Pen Woman awarded Honorable Mentions to three poems in national competitions. The Pablo Neruda Prize in Poetry, from Nimrod International Journal, recognized three poems from the manuscript, <i>The Rumor,</i> as quarter finalists. The title poem from the manuscript, <i>The Rumor,</i> was awarded "Conference Find" (the top award)at the Southern California Writers Conference. A poem won first prize in Amelia Magazine's national poetry contest. A poem won third prize Atlantic Monthly national poetry contest. Three poems won honorable mentions Emily Dickinson Poetry Award.
