Originally, I am from northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. I am a Purdue University alum who double majored in English Literature and Creative Writing. Thereafter, I spent seven years working in the digital marketing field specializing in content development and strategy. Recently, I earned my MFA in Creative Writing (poetry) from City College of New York where I am currently an English Department adjunct and former co-organizer of the MFA Student Reading Series. In the past three years, I have had more than 30 poems published, along with various personal essays, reviews, and interviews. Publications of my work have appeared or are forthcoming in Glass Poetry, Pink Plastic House, The Shallow Ends, Moonchild Magazine, Yes Poetry, Crab Fat Magazine, Philosophical Idiot, Barren Magazine, The New Southern Fugitive, and Flying Island Journal where I received a 2017 Pushcart Prize nomination. I have also been a finalist in the 2020-21 Glass Poetry Chapbook Contest, Spring 2020 Flash Fiction Contest finalist for F(r)iction, and will be completing a writing residency with Poets Afloat in a near future.
