Lafayette Wattles

Poet

Author's Bio

“The good parts of a book may be only something a writer is lucky enough to overhear or it may be the wreck of his whole damn life and one is as good as the other” (Ernest Hemingway). I tend to employ humor while writing about some of the wreck that I have lived or witnessed, but from the perspective of characters who overcome the wreck, who thrive not just in spite of it, but perhaps because of it. My intention with my poetry and my fiction, after all, is to inspire hope.
