Author's Bio

Laura Nagle, a 2020 ALTA Travel Fellow, is a translator and writer based in Indianapolis. Her translations of prose and poetry from French and Spanish have appeared in journals including The Southern ReviewAGNIANMLY, Circumference, and The Los Angeles ReviewSongs for the Gusle, her translation of Prosper Mérimée's 1827 hoax, La Guzla, was published in March 2023 by Frayed Edge Press. Her short fiction has recently appeared in The CommonNorth American Review, and South Florida Poetry Journal, and was shortlisted for the 2024 Welkin Mini Prize.
