Author's Bio

have been a professional writer most of my life, other than occasional sidetracks into smuggling, law enforcement, and other childish thrills. I've written for urban dailys and weeklies, top national (US) magazines, mail order catalogs, comedians, websites, and books...mostly about Mexico and Spanish. I had two syndicated columns in hip urban weeklies, both award winners, both widely admired and reviled. I've edited a dozen publications, owned several, had a line of poetry titles, and was at one time a hot-shot mail order marketing exec.

In recent years I've turned more to scripts and novels. I have a TV series in development (which just means some Hollywood producers are trying to sell it instead of me) and am currently promoting the books I published last year.
