Author's Bio

Liz Baxmeyer is a writer, composer, visual, and sound artist living in Sacramento, CA where she teaches the creative arts and humanities to health sciences and nursing students. She holds an MA in music composition from Bangor University, UK, and an MFA in writing and contemporary media from Antioch University, Santa Barbara. Her work often explores themes at the intersections of folklore, nature, climate, feminism, and grief. Her work has been published in The Examined Life, Wild Roof Journal, Intima, Beyond Words, Luna Station Quarterly, and more. Her debut hybrid chapbook, Root & Bone was published by FLP Books in 2024. Liz is founding Editor-in-Chief of The Calendula Review: A Journal of Narrative Medicine
