Lois Marie Harrod’s 17th and most recent collection Woman won the 2019 Blue Lyra Chapbook contest.  Her Nightmares of the Minor Poet appeared in June 2016 from Five Oaks. Her chapbook And She Took the Heart appeared in January 2016, and Fragments from the Biography of Nemesis (Cherry Grove Press) and the chapbook How Marlene Mae Longs for Truth (Dancing Girl Press) appeared in 2013. The Only Is won the 2012 Tennessee Chapbook Contest (Poems & Plays), and Brief Term, a collection of poems about teachers and teaching was published by Black Buzzard Press, 2011. Cosmogony won the 2010 Hazel Lipa Chapbook (Iowa State). Previous publications include the chapbook Firmament (2007); the chapbook Put Your Sorry Side Out  (2005); Spelling the World Backward (2000); the chapbook This Is a Story You Already Know (l999); Part of the Deeper Sea (1997); the chapbook Green Snake Riding  (l994), Crazy Alice (l991) Every Twinge a Verdict  (l987). She has received five fellowship/residencies from the Virginia Center for Creative Arts and three fellowships from the New Jersey Council on the Arts. Over 1000 of her poems and several short stories have been published in literary journals and online ezines from American Poetry Review to Zone 3. She has received 3 fellowships from the NJ Council on the Arts. A Dodge poet, she has read 4 times at Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festivals. She teaches Creative Writing fall semesters at The College of New Jersey and literature at the Evergreen Forum, PSRC, Princeton, NJ. Links to her online work at www.loismarieharrod.org
