Author's Bio

A grandmother and retired nurse, I’m now free to practice this gripping vocation daily. My training came from years of classes with Stegner Fellows at Stanford University.  A chapbook with eighteen of my poems called Muffled Song was published by Finishing Line Press in 2016. Other poems appeared in Avocet and even in JGIM, a medical journal.  My nursing years inform my poems, also relations with self & family.  I read at local literary series & keep taking part in workshops. The dear English teacher I'm married to likes the nature poems best. Poetry keeps the soup of my life simmering.
