María Ochoa PhD is a photo writer whose work meshes images with the written word. She has received numerous accolades and awards. To name a few: California State Assembly Woman of the Year for contributions to the arts; Creative Work Fund Artist Grant; twice a Ford Foundation Fellowship recipient; UC Humanities Research Insitute Fellowship. Dr. Ochoa wakes up every day looking forward to the places her imagination will take her in practicing her craft.
