Author's Bio

Marie Delgado Travis is proud of her Nuyorican roots. She worked in Advertising / Marketing for 20+ years and has earned Masters Degrees in Literature and Law and is currently pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts (Antioch U Los Angeles). A Post 9/11 writer, Marie has won numerous awards for her poetry and prose in English and Spanish. Most recently, she was named AUTHOR OF THE YEAR, 2010 Houston Hispanic Book Festival. Her new poetry book, WHAT IF..., magically illustrated by artist John Rivera, humorously probes what would happen if all the magicians in the world suddenly quit. Marie lives in Houston, TX with her husband, Ed, a retired attorney.
