Author's Bio

Meg Kearney’s newest collection of poems, Home By Now (Four Way Books), won the 2010 PEN New England LL Winship Award and was a finalist for the Paterson Poetry Prize and Foreword Magazine Book of the Year. The title poem to Home By Now appears in Garrison Keillor’s Good Poems:American Places anthology (Viking 2011). Meg’s first collection of poetry, An Unkindness of Ravens, was published by BOA Editions Ltd. in 2001. She is author of two young-adult novels in verse for teens: The Secret of Me (Persea Books 2005) and its sequel, The Girl in the Mirror (Persea 2012). Meg is the Director of the Solstice MFA in Creative Writing Program of Pine Manor College in Massachusetts. She was the Associate Director of the National Book Foundation, sponsor of the National Book Awards, for more than 11 years. A native New Yorker, Meg now lives in New Hampshire.
