Author's Bio

New York Times and international bestseller and Meg Waite Clayton is the author of eight novels, most recently the New York Times Book Review Editors' Choice, GMA Buzz Book and Costco Book Club pick The Postmistress of Paris and the National Jewish Book Award finalist The Last Train to London. Her work has been published in or is forthcoming in 24 languages.

Her prior books include the #1 Amazon fiction bestseller Beautiful Exiles; the Langum Prize honored The Race for Paris; The Wednesday Sisters, named one of Entertainment Weekly’s 25 Essential Best Friend Novels of all time (on a list with The Three Musketeers!); and The Language of Light, a finalist for the Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction (now the PEN/Bellwether). She has written more than one hundred short pieces for the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Runner’s World and public radio, often on the subject of the particular challenges women face. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and its law schook, and a member of the National Book Critic’s Circle and the California Bar. She divides her time between Carmel-by-the-Sea, California and New Haven, Connecticut.
