Author's Bio

 

Born in the French Quarter of New Orleans and growing up in east Texas and the deserts of southwestern Iran before graduating from the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate and Syracuse University as a Graduate Fellow, Michael Jennings is the author of 12 collections of poetry, most recently Where She Dances (2020), Summoning the Outlaws (2018), Crossings: A Record of Travel, winner of the 2016 Central New York Book Award for Poetry, and River Time, winner of 2014 Wells College Chapbook Contest. He is also the 2017 winner of the Miller Audio Award for Poetry offered by The Missouri Review (judged by Vijay Seshadri).
