Author's Bio

Born in Japan, Michelle Naka Pierce is the author of nine titles, including four full-length books: SHE, A BLUEPRINT (BlazeVOX, 2011), BELOVED INTEGER (Bootstrap/Pub Lush, 2007), and TRI/VIA (Erudite Fangs/ Pub Lush, 2003). Awarded the Poets Out Loud Editor's Prize, CONTINUOUS FRIEZE BORDERING RED (Fordham, 2012) documents the migratory patterns of the hybrid as she travels the floating borders in Rothko's Seagram murals. She is associate professor and director of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University in Boulder, CO.
