Author's Bio

Monica Duncan's debut novel, Twine, was released by Crowsnest Books in 2019 with a glowing blurb from Elinor Lipman, stating “There is so much to love and admire about TWINE—in fact, everything. Monica Duncan's characters are authentic and lovable, their relationships absorbing, their causes just. What a pleasure to read a book that is equal parts brain, heart, and good old-fashioned storytelling. It was hard to leave these pages.” Duncan's debut also received a recommendation by Parade Magazine, and her interview appeared in the Boston Globe. Duncan's essays have appeared in Writer’s Digest and Political Animal Magazine, and she was a featured presenter at the Newburyport Literary Festival in 2019 and 2020.
