Four poetry books: Blue Cold Morning, Blue Water Poems, & Blue Cold Morning – First Collection Of Poems, Blue Water Poems, The Wind Is My Wine, My Life On Little River, Bones of a Generous Woman, and one book of short stories, Dry Branch Hollow. Venable won the Virginia Water Project Award, and was nominated for the governor’s award for Volunteer Excellence. She is active in animal rescue. Venable was nominated by Goldfish Press for the Pushcart Prize in 2009, and by Quill and Parchment Press in 2012.
