Author's Bio

Rebecca Starks grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and earned a BA in English from Yale University and a PhD in English from Stanford University. She is the author of the poetry collections Fetch, Muse (Able Muse Press, 2021) and Time Is Always Now (Able Muse Press, 2019) and the recipient of Rattle’s 2018 Neil Postman Award for Metaphor. Her poems and short fiction have appeared in Valparaiso Review, Baltimore Review, Crab Orchard Review, Ocean State Review, Tahoma Literary Review, Slice, and elsewhere. She lives in Richmond, Vermont.
