Author's Bio

A professor emerita of English at Eastern Illinois University, Ruth Hoberman has published on late-nineteenth and  twentieth-century British literature.  Since retiring in 2015 she has turned to writing personal essays and poetry, with work appearing in such journals as Michigan Quarterly Review, Consequence, Smartish Pace, Rhino, Calyx, Spoon River Poetry Review, and Ploughshares.
