Author's Bio

Writer, poet, editor and creative writing instructor, Ruth E. Walker started her writing career at age 40. Published in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K., including Utne Reader online, Prairie Fire, CV2 and Chapman. For nearly 10 years, she was a founding editor for LICHEN Arts & Letters Preview.

An artist in residence with the local school board, she works occasionally with at-risk students.

She is like the proverbial child in a candy shop: so amazed by everything on offer, she can't stop writing. She discovered she loves to teach creative writing and now organizes writing retreats and workshops through Writescape www.writescape.ca for writers at all levels.

A senior writer and editor for the provincial government, Ruth also offers freelance ms editing. www.ruthewalker.wordpress.com
