Author's Bio

Ryan Chapman is a Sri Lankan-American writer originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. His work has appeared online at The New YorkerGQBookforum, Longreads, Los Angeles Review of Books, Guernica, and The Believer. After a decade in publishing--including work with The Penguin Press, Farrar, Straus and Giroux, and the arts magazine BOMB--Ryan now writes full-time from his home in upstate New York. He has guest-lectured at Bard College and The New School, and currently teaches fiction at Catapult. He also moderated and spoken on panels at the Brooklyn Book Festival, Texas Book Festival, Wordplay (Minneapolis), the AWP annual conference, and BookExpo.

Ryan also hosts the long-running literary trivia game "Nerd Jeopardy!", which has been produced at book festivals and LitCrawls in Brooklyn, Austin, Portland (OR), and Minneapolis.
