Author's Bio

I write the column, Poetry Matters, for Southern Writers Magazine, have given readings and workshops on poetry, and founded the Lonesome Mountain Pro(s)e Writers Workshop. I teach a course on Contemporary American Poets for the UVA/OLLI program. My poems have appeared in Piedmont Virginia Magazine, Loch Raven Review, Poetica, the Virginia Literary Journal, Scratching Against the Fabric Anthology, the Blue Ridge Anthology, the 25th Anniversary Edition the Blue Ridge Parkway Celebration Book, and in the Charlottesville CAT buses.
