Author's Bio

I'm mainly a writer of short fiction. One of my projects is a novel-in-stories, "Claudia." In September 2008 three of these stories were performed in the New Short Fiction Series, LA's 'live literary magazine.' I have a keen interest in what fiction writers can learn from playwrights and screenwriters: in fiction it's easy to allow good prose to mask mediocre drama. I also try to make some study of poetry. In my blog I explore the craft and practicalities of fiction-writing, with an emphasis on the short story; and also try to promote the Los Angeles literary scene.
