Author's Bio
My life and creative work is deeply influenced by my early years in two children's homes. My book, "The Children's Home, Stories and Poems," explores finding spiritual strength and meaning in times of loss. I explore my early children's home experiences through prayer, artistic expression, forgiveness, insights, and understanding one's purpose and life path.
I am a follower of the spiritual teacher Meher Baba and this connection inspires me. My book "Wayward Star, Devotional Poems" reflects an ongoing pilgrimage toward holiness, inner peace, and care for our Mother Earth.
My book in progress, "An Unconventional Heroine, Stories and Poems" examines, honors and reflects the lives of outsiders and the mystical path to wholeness. In memory and in imagination, I explore the ways that I, as an unconventional woman, have met and learned from those who are non-mainstream, including my own self.
I am also an independent scholar, through my work in the arts and holistic health research. Please see my website for art, writings, films and poetry at www.sharonrobinson.org
My writings are archived in the collections of the Schlesinger Women's History Library, Radcliffe College, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
