Author's Bio

Stanley Moss’s most recent book of poems, Abandoned Poems, was published in 2018, by Seven Stories Press. Previous books were published in the UK, mostly by Anvil. Translations into German by Hans Magnus Enzensberger may be acquired from Hanser. Chinese translations by Fu Hao. Italian, Spanish, Ukranian, and Romanian translations are in the works. He was the editor of New Directions and New American Review, and the poetry editor of Bookweek. Moss was the editor and publisher of Sheep Meadow Press in the US. He made his living as an old master picture dealer. Moss died at the age of ninety-nine on July 5, 2024.
