Author's Bio

I'm also a teacher of both creative and critical writing. Over the course of my academic career, I've taught students at The Univ. of Michigan, Siena College, The College of St. Rose, and most recently, SUNY Albany. I love helping others better understand literature, develop their writing and even see their work published.

In addition to teaching higher-ed courses, I also lead poetry workshops for diverse groups of adults in the local community and am the grateful recipient of a number of grants from Poets & Writers.

My individual poems have appeared in the Harvard Review Online, Rattle, The Common, Prairie Schooner and North American Review, among others.
