Author's Bio

 Susan Gardner is a poet, painter and photographer and the founding editor of Red Mountain Press. She has authored seven books including Love and the WeatherLifted to the Wind Poems 1974-2015, (Nominated and a finalist for the Montaigne Medal and Lascaux Prize), To Inhabit the Felt World, the bi-lingual Box of Light~Caja de Luz, Stone Music, Intimate Landscapes and a memoir, Drawing the Line. She has had numerous exhibitions in museums and galleries and given extensive lectures and readings: the Cam Memorial Lecture at the New York Public Library, where she was also honored to be granted a year in the Allen Room,  the Freer Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, and the Folger Library, among many others. She has had residencies at the American Academy in Rome 2018 and 2019, and many others in interesting places.  She lives in Bainbridge Island, WA. www.susangardner.org
