Author's Bio

Tara Shea Burke is a multidisciplinary writer and artist from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. She teaches undergraduate writing and critical thinking at VCU, and poetry at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond. Her poetry has been published in Screen Door, Shenandoah, Southern Humanities Review, Khôra, and several anthologies. She’s interested in story, form and constraint, how the body moves and makes, collaging and layering materials, crocheting little dog bandanas, and pushing film photos printed in a dark room through a letterpress to create a visual, queer, material poetics of the body she can live by.
