Author's Bio

Kennedy has published novels, story and essay collections, books of literary criticism and of translation (from the Danish) as well as several anthologies. His stories, essays, interviews and translations appear regularly in American and European literary periodicals. Born in New York, he currently lives in Europe. He is the author of a regular column and blogpost entitled "A Shout from Copenhagen" and is advisory editor for The Literary Review and Absinthe: New European Writing. He holds a B.A. from Fordham University, an MFA from Vermont College and PhD from University of Copenhagen. In 2010 his novel In the Company of Angels will appear from Bloomsbury, New York and London, to be followed by another novel in 2011.
