Author's Bio

Tom House's stories have appeared in over thirty publications in the United States and Canada, including Harper’s, The North American Review and The Antioch Review. He was raised in East Islip, Long Island, the setting of his award-winning first novel, The Beginning of Calamities, and lives in the Hamptons. A former fellow at The MacDowell Colony, Ragdale Foundation, and The Atlantic Center for the Arts, House has taught English and writing at Long Island public schools and at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he received an MA in English and an MA in Teaching in English.
