Author's Bio

V. Penelope Pelizzon’s next book, A Gaze Hound That Hunteth by the Eye, will be published in 2024 in the Pitt Poetry Series. Her first, Nostos, won the Poetry Society of America’s Norma Farber First Book Award, and her second, published in both the US and UK, was a finalist for the Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize. She is also the co-author of Tabloid, Inc., a critical study of film, photography, and crime narratives. Pelizzon’s recognitions include a 2020 Quarterly West editor’s choice award for her chapbook Of Vinegar  Of Pearl, a 2019 Hawthornden Fellowship, an Amy Lowell Traveling Scholarship, and the Center for Book Arts chapbook award for her collection Human Field. She is a Professor of English at the University of Connecticut.
