Author's Bio

Wendy Wisner is a writer and poet living in Bayside, New York. She is the author of a book of poems, Epicenter (2004), and a chapbook, Another Place of Rocking (2010). Her book reviews appear regularly in Lilith Magazine, and her poems have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including Prairie Schooner, The Spoon River Review, The Bellevue Literary Review, Literary Mama, No Tell Motel, and Verse Daily. Wendy taught writing and literature at Hunter College for four years. Since the birth of her son in 2007, she has pursued her long-time interest in women's health and babies: she volunteers as a breastfeeding counselor, and is pursuing her Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification.
