Beatnik Cafe is a monthly poetry series, hosted by Hanna Pachman at the tea cafe, Hey Hey (1555 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026). There are 1-2 featured readers followed by an open mic. Elena Secota was born in Transylvania, Romania, and graduated from The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, London. Her poems have been published in Quill and Parchment, Venice Surf Art Exhibit by Angeline Strassman Caesar and Beverly Hills Heritage. Hosting an Open Mic on the third Friday of the month, at the historical Rapp Saloon, in Santa Monica, Elena sees poetry as our universal language for an awakened consciousness and compassion. https://www.elenasecota.com
Elisabeth Adwin Edwards’s poems have appeared in The Tampa Review, Rust + Moth, Tinderbox, Pedestal, Posit, and elsewhere; her prose has been published in CutBank, HAD, On The Seawall, and other journals. Her work has been nominated for Best of the Net, the Pushcart Prize, and Best New Poets.
