Places We Call Home: Exile, Changes, & Collective Futures

In celebration of the Library of America’s Latino Poetry Anthology, Beyond Baroque presents an afternoon dedicated to poets from the Salvadoran diaspora. Featured at this event are William Archila, author of S is For, Cynthia Guardado, author of Cenizas, and Janel Pineda, author of Lineage Rain. Each poet will read from their works, offering a deep exploration of their personal and collective narratives. Following the readings, there will be an insightful conversation moderated by Janel Pineda on themes of immigration from El Salvador and reflections on the future of Salvadoran identity and communities within today’s shifting political landscape.
