Editorial Focus
Gulf Stream Magazine, started in 1989, is a national literary magazine published by the Creative Writing Program at Florida International University. It is a biannual online journal dedicated to publishing great fiction, nonfiction, poetry, hybrid writing and visual art. It also publishes first-book reviews and interviews.
Tips From the Editor
Please be sure to read our Submittable guidelines carefully. We do not read paper submissions. Submit one short story or 3 flash pieces, one creative nonfiction piece, up to three poems, one hybrid piece with no more than 5 images, or up to 5 pieces of visual art. We hope to respond within three to four months, but due to the volume of submissions, responses can take up to six months. If you have not received a response from our editors in six months, please feel free to contact us.
