Editorial Focus

midnight & indigo is a literary magazine dedicated to celebrating the voices of Black women writers worldwide. In addition to our tri-annual anthologies and a literary journal, we publish works online, facilitate writing classes, and offer developmental editing services. To date, we have published 375+ Black storytellers across the U.S., Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Canada, Asia, and Australia. Launched in 2022, our Writing Program has served 500+ students since its inception. We are 100% Black woman-owned.
