Committed to local life, the Ivy Bookshop is a community space in Baltimore, anchored by a vibrant bookstore, in Baltimore’s historic Mt. Washington neighborhood. They believe in books as tools of connection between people, and they invite you to gather—whether by finding a hidden gem of a book with a bookseller in the shop, strolling through their abundant outdoor spaces with your book and a picnic, or joining them at an author event where books come alive as conversations about the things that make life meaningful.
Operating for twenty-two years, the Ivy is proud to continue serving Baltimore’s many reading communities as they move through our third decade. Having spent their first two decades in the Lake Falls Village Shopping Center, the Ivy moved in 2020 into the home of the former Divine Life Church at 5928 Falls Road—a large green house surrounded, blissfully, by nearly three acres of gardens that are open to the public. With admiration for the meditation community that formerly occupied the space and tended the gardens, they continue to cultivate a spirit of contemplation, gathering, and revelatory delight.
