The nation’s oldest children’s bookstore, Once Upon a Time was founded in 1966, and is now owned and operated by the Palacios family. Once Upon a Time has a carefully curated selection of children’s books, and prides itself on being “a community-based neighborhood store that spurs imagination, whimsy, and a passion for reading.”
