Editorial Focus
Eggtooth Editions holds an annual chapbook contest for any genre of writing, including poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, plays, and hybrid/cross-genre/multi-genre work. The editors are open to submissions from anyone who has not published (or self-published) a full-length collection, defined as a work of over 50 pages. The press is affiliated with Northern Arizona Book Festival, a nonprofit; all proceeds help to run the press or go to the book festival and its affiliates.
Tips From the Editor
Please follow the submission guidelines and revise your work; one tip is to think about how the chapbook works as a collection. We don’t need a tight thematic focus or formal unity necessarily, but the book as a whole should hang together in a way that is more than the sum of its parts. Works such as one-act plays, long poems, or novellas are also welcomed so long as they don’t exceed fifty total pages.
This year’s contest will award $250 to the winner of the annual chapbook contest. Please see complete rules at the website.
