Editorial Focus
Etchings Press is UIndy’s teaching press and publishing laboratory. Writers from around the world submit recently published books to the Whirling Prize in the fall in response to a theme. Winners receive a cash prize and promotional material designed by a UIndy student artist, and also participate in UIndy’s Potluck Podcast. In the regional Chapbook and Novella Contests each spring, students judge submissions and then publish winning chapbooks (in both poetry and prose) and a novella. Winners receive an honorarium and copies of their published book.
