Tips From the Editor

Please, first contact the press with a query prior to sending anything. Include a description and details of the work you feel are relevant and, if you so chose, a sample manuscript. Then, if we proceed, we will naturally wish to read the entire manuscript.

As the press is a member of CLMP, the Authors Guild, the American Literary Translators Association, we adhere to each organization’s ethical standards. This means that we do not accept writing generated via large language models or generative AI tools. But that line is fine-grained, and evolving—and so may not preclude use cases such as enhanced tools for copyediting, proofing, and rephrasing of one’s own writing—the emphasis being that it is one’s own writing.
