One Day is a television adaptation of the novel of the same name by best-selling author and screenwriter David Nicholls. Directed by Molly Manners with an adaptation led by Nicole Taylor, the Netflix limited series stars Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall as two best friends finding themselves over the course of twenty years.

“It is difficult for a woman to define her feelings in a language which is chiefly made by men to express theirs.” In this film adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s 1874 novel, Far From the Madding Crowd, Carey Mulligan stars as Bathsheba Everdene, an independent woman who inherits her uncle’s farm and attracts three very different suitors. The film is directed by Thomas Vinterberg with a screenplay by David Nicholls.

Author and screenwriter David Nicholls describes his latest novel as a road movie, comedy, and love story about family and marriage. Published in October by Harper, Us was longlisted for the 2014 Man Booker Prize for Fiction.
