Tayari Jones is the New York Times best-selling author of four novels. The most recent, An American Marriage (Algonquin Books, 2018), was an Oprah’s Book Club selection and was awarded the Women’s Prize for Fiction (formerly known as the Orange Prize), the Aspen Words Prize, and an NAACP Image Award. Her previous novels are Leaving Atlanta, The Untelling, and Silver Sparrow. Jones is a graduate of Spelman College, the University of Iowa, and Arizona State University. She is a professor of creative writing at Emory University, a contributing editor of Poets & Writers Magazine, and a 2021 Guggenheim Fellow.
