Author's Bio

Anna Teresa Slater is a high school literature and drama teacher from Iloilo, Philippines. She completed a degree in AB Philosophy at De La Salle University and finished her MA in Creative Writing at Lancaster University. Her poems have been published in a variety of journals and anthologies. Her first collection, 'A Singular, Spectacular Chore' will be released in November 2021 (Kasingkasing Press).
Anna writes about a range of topics including the natural world, her experiences as a teacher, and current events. She is interested in how the process of writing poetry can uncover aspects of the self. She lives on a farm with her husband, dog, and cat.
