Derek Updegraff

Derek Updegraff writes fiction and poetry and does verse translations from Latin, Middle English, and Old English. He is the author of two short story collections, a poetry collection, and a novel, and he is a contributing writer for the Wiley-Blackwell Encyclopedia of Medieval Literature in Britain. He attended Cal State Long Beach (B.A. & M.F.A.) and the University of Missouri (M.A. & Ph.D.), studying fiction, poetry, linguistics, and medieval literature. He is an associate professor of English at Anderson University in upstate South Carolina.
