Author's Bio

Diane Lockward is the author of The Uneaten Carrots of Atonement (Wind Publications, 2010), What Feeds Us (Wind P, 2006) which was awarded the Quentin R. Howard Poetry Prize, Temptation by Water (Wind P, 2010), and Eve’s Red Dress (Wind P, 2003). Her poems have been published in several anthologies, including Poetry Daily: 366 Poems from the World’s Most Popular Poetry Website and Garrison Keillor's Good Poems for Hard Times. She is also the editor of The Strategic Poet: Honing the Craft (Terrapin Books, 2021), The Practicing Poet: Writing Beyond the Basics (Terrapin Books, 2018), The Crafty Poet II: A Portable Workshop (Terrapin Books, 2016), and The Crafty Poet: A Portable Workshop (rev. ed., Terrapin Books, 2016). Her poems have appeared in such journals as Beloit Poetry Journal, Harvard Review, and Prairie Schooner. Her work has also been featured on Poetry Daily, The Writer’s Almanac, American Life in Poetry, and Verse Daily. Diane has performed in a number of poetry festivals and conferences such as the 2006 Frost Place Conference on Poetry and Teaching, the 2006 and 2016 Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festivals, and the 2007 Burlington Book Festival. She is the founder and publisher of Terrapin Books.
