Author's Bio

Winner of the Able Muse Write Prize for Fiction, Donna Laemmlen’s stories appear in Tin House OnlineSlice Magazine, Fourteen HillsSmokeLong QuarterlyPopshot, and elsewhere. She has been published in the anthologies Flash 101: Surviving the Fiction Apocalypse and Burning Love and Bleeding Hearts, and her story “The Dangers of Helium” was a 2019 Pushcart Prize nominee.  Donna earned her MFA in Writing from the University of San Francisco and teaches storytelling, script analysis, and screenwriting at the Academy of Art University.
