Author's Bio

Glenda Bailey-Mershon is a mountain-born poet, essayist, and fiction writer. She loves whimsy but also drilling into hard questions. Being born into several cultures helps her look at everything through a multirefractory lens. Her novel, Eve’s Garden (Twisted Road), about three generations of Romani-American women, her poetry collection, Weaver's Knot, as well as her chapbooks Bird Talk(Wild Dove) and sa-co-ni-ge/blue smoke (Jane’s Stories) are examples. Her nonfiction has appeared in The Daily Beast, Drunken Boat, and various newspapers and anthologies, her flash in several journals, and her poetry scatters from the UK to France to the Appalachians.
