Author's Bio

Michele Karas is a New York-based writer with roots in Southern California. Her poems and creative nonfiction have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Mid-American Review, Northern Virginia Review, Narrative, San Diego Poetry Annual: Best Poems of 2019, and elsewhere. A Community of Writers poetry alumna, Karas holds degrees from San Diego State University and CUNY: The City College of New York, where she was the 2016 recipient of the The Jerome Lowell Dejur Award in Creative Writing. As an editor, she has curated poems for Promethean and The Night Heron Barks and currently writes brand messaging for a global television network.
