Nancy Kline

Creative Nonfiction Writer, Fiction Writer

Author's Bio

For years I wrote fiction, but these days it's creative nonfiction that draws me, especially memoirs and essays (long and short) of place. I've written and published nonfiction narratives set in France, Cambodia, Los Angeles, and sub-Saharan Africa, and am currently at work on an anthology of these and other pieces entitled OTHER GEOGRAPHIES. I've just completed a book-length memoir about growing up gay and on the Left, in Greenwich Village and Woodstock, during the McCarthy era. And having published translations of the modern French poets Char, Eluard, Gaspar, Laforgue, and Supervielle, I'm looking for my next translation project.
