Rebecca Pyle is a writer of stories, poetry, essays, and reviews appearing over the past decade in many art/literary journals--mainly journals created in the United States, but also journals created in Hong Kong, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, France, Belgium, India, England, Ireland, and Northern Ireland.

Rebecca Pyle is a visual artist, also (paintings, drawings, photographs).

Prizes won: 

Fiction by Rebecca Pyle has been nominated for both the Best of the Net and the Pushcart prize. While studying art and writing at the University of Kansas she won first prizes in the William Herbert Carruth (poetry prize), the Wolfe (fiction prize), and the Whitcombe (fiction prize). Later, while spending a year living and working in London, her poetry was named runner-up to Irish poet and overall winner Medbhe McGuckian's poetry in the United Kingdom's National Poetry Competition, co-sponsored by The Poetry Society and the the BBC2.  Over the past decade her work has been longlisted or shortlisted in many art/lit journals' fiction, poetry, or essay competitions.
